Syfy has announced it’s renewing Face Off for a fourth season. Hosted by McKenzie Westmore, the competition/elimination series explores the world of special-effects make-up artists and the imagination that allows them to create works of living art. Judges for the competition include Ve Neill, special make-up effects artist Glenn Hetrick, and feature film creature designer Neville Page. Scheduled for guest appearances in the 2013 season are Bryan Singer and Lightstorm’s Jon Landau. Dwight D. Smith, Michael Agbabian and Derek Atherton of Mission Control Media will return as executive producers.

Face Off is definitely one of my favorite shows of all time, so it’s great to hear that it’ll be back with a fourth season! I’m pretty excited about all those special guests too, so I can only imagine how great the season will actually be. Some of the guys I work with at DISH said it’ll be back in January too, so I’m excited that it’s not too long of a wait, and soon enough I’ll be able to record the series to my Hopper DVR from DISH. Have you heard about the Opposite Worlds show too? I’m not sure when Syfy will be airing that show, but it definitely sounds like an interesting one. 🙂
